Annual Analytics Challenge
Built exclusively for first-year undergraduates, serving as your entry point into the world of data-driven problem solving, strategic thinking, and real-world analytics.
Winter Analytics isn't just another competition—it's your launchpad into analytical thinking. No templates. No step-by-step guides. Just you, your ideas, and a real-world problem waiting to be cracked.
It's not about numbers—but yes, 200+ students show up each year. What matters more is the energy: teams huddled over laptops, feedback flying, insights building. You'll be learning with—and from—your own batchmates.
Each edition comes with its own surprises. Whether it's notebooks, dashboards, or live pitches, you'll be tested on what you do—not what you know. If you can think it, build it, and explain it, you're ready.
Winter Analytics is the annual flagship competition hosted by the Society of Business, IIT Roorkee. Built exclusively for first-year undergraduates, it serves as an entry point into the world of data-driven problem solving, strategic thinking, and real-world analytics.
Participants engage with complex, real-world-inspired datasets and are expected to derive insights, identify trends, and present well-structured, data-backed recommendations—similar to what an analytics or consulting team would do in practice.
With over 200 freshers participating each year, Winter Analytics has established itself as one of the most competitive and intellectually engaging events for first-year students on campus. The competition is conducted in multiple stages, designed to evaluate participants across a range of analytics and communication capabilities.
